Topographical Surveys




Sometimes requirements dictate that a traditional Topographical Survey is all that is required. There is no substitute for a well executed survey to provide accurate detail and Levels to your chosen Coordinate System be it OS Datum, Local Grid or Project SankeGrid.
This kind of survey is our bread and butter and our engineers have been undertaking them for 20 years. Whatever specification you require we strive to deliver and ensure that you have all of the information you require to allow you to undertake an informed design proposal.

Laserscanning
UKSTE use cutting edge technology to capture 3D data such as this Railway Bridge.
Laser Scanning is defined as the "Controlled Deflection of Laser Beams, Visible or Invisible". However It is more than this simple statement.
Modern Laser Scanning is progressing site data capture to new levels and is the perfect vehicle for capturing hard to reach areas of an asset or infrastructure where access is limited or time is short.
As well as the raw scan data UKSTE's Engineering and CAD Team can provide As Built drawings, 3D Models, Sections and more from this data which can be invaluable to the Design Teams of a project.
Survey grade accuracy can be achieved and tying into existing Project control is an easy task with modern equipment. Should this not be available then data can be Geo-Referenced to OS National Grid with our own GNSS Systems.




Trimble Gedo TMD Surveys




UKSTE also offer Trimble Gedo CE 2 Track Surveys. This system offers high volume scan surveys of Rail Infrastructure and OLE Equipment.
Trimble GEDO provides continuous scan capability through a site and can achieve data collection at an impressive rate. Scan data can be collected at up to 2km per hour of survey depending on what configuration is used. The GEDO System incorporate a highly accurate IMS which compliments the data collection allowing for better accuracy with GNSS and Fixed Control.
Track Strings, Ole Positions, Height and Staggers and continuous helical scans can be extracted automatically for use in multiple areas including Track Survey, OLE Design, Clearance and Gauging and Vegetation Management Surveys.
Site Engineering/Setting Out
UKSTE can provide experienced Engineers to undertake Site Engineering and Setting Out for your projects.
Our Engineers are experienced in minor civils works including but not limited to Sub-Contractor Supervision and Design Compliance, OLE CHS Ping, RC Foundations, Micro Piling and Soil Nailing, Station Rebuilds and Extensions.
Whether you need to undertake supervision of Sub-Contractors onsite and ensure that the works are carried out to specification or you just need Setting Out of Piling and foundations, we have vast experience.
In addition to this we can also provide and complete ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) for your works to make the handover to the clients and stakeholders a smooth process.




Plans and Elevations
UKSTE can provide Detailed Plans and Elevations for your project.
Our Lead Surveyors are proficient in capturing detailed Plans and Elevations and have completed a number of projects including Theaters, Banks, Schools to name a few.
These can be complimented with Topographical Surveys and Laser Scans to give you everything you need to undertake Construcution/Renovation works or heritage preservation for listed buildings etc..
